The La Conner Library Director Jared Fair joined us to share updates on the new library building. The Story Pole that will be carved for the new building is from a 400 year old tree. Master Carver Kevin Paul of Swinomish is working on the pole.
And did you know? The WiFi is up and running now and can be accessed outside the building!
When the new La Conner - Swinomish Library opens, it will do so with the community in mind. There is a general purpose meeting room, designated areas for children and teens, and computer work/research stations.
The decor is being planned around the natural beauty of our area, inspired by the Salish Sea, tulips, and the agricultural fields around us.
